As a general rule, we recommend during the peak growing season in the spring and summer months, lawns should be mowed once per week to keep them looking neat and tidy.

We recommend the best time to cut your lawn is during the peak growing season, which is typically in the spring and summer months.

During this time, the grass is actively growing and will recover quickly from mowing. Cutting the grass regularly during this period will help to promote healthy growth and keep your lawn looking neat and tidy.

However, we do regularly visit customers in Autumn and Winter too.

Leaving grass clippings on your lawn can be beneficial for your lawn’s health as are a natural source of nitrogen, which is an essential nutrient for healthy lawn growth.

However, too many grass cuttings can cause clumping and prevent sunlight and air from reaching the grass blades.

We make a decision based on our experience on every grass cutting job we attend as we’ll know when to leave the cuttings and when to remove them. 

We would recommend that our attendance is on a dry day as wet grass is more difficult to cut, as it tends to bend rather than stand up straight, making it harder to get an even cut. 

However, if we’re caught out by the weather, we’ll happily re-schedule a visit on a drier day for no extra charge.
