Overgrown Footpath Clearance

Project Overview

We were contacted by Great Barton Parish Council to clear a much-used public footpath that had become heavily overgrown. Vegetation had crept across the edges, forcing walkers dangerously close to the road. In some areas, grass and soil had completely hidden sections of the concrete path.

The parish needed a tidy, safe, long-lasting solution – and that’s exactly what we delivered!

The Problem

  • Footpath surface was obscured by grass, soil, and overgrowth
  • Reduced safe walking space for pedestrians
  • Risk for elderly residents, schoolchildren, and those with mobility issues
  • Untidy roadside affecting the appearance of the area

Our Approach

We got to work promptly and professionally, keeping disruption to a minimum while restoring the path to full width.

Here’s what we did:

  • Cut back and removed the overgrown vegetation
  • Edged and redefined the footpath boundaries
  • Cleared all green waste, leaving the site clean and safe

The results speak for themselves with a clear, safe, and fully accessible path for everyone in the village.

The Result

  • Full footpath width restored
  • Safer access for pedestrians, including pushchairs and wheelchairs
  • Improved appearance of the roadside
  • Happy feedback from local residents and council representatives
